Nashville, TN

I have a confession to make... I've been sitting on this post for a few years now. I've visited Nashville, TN over the years several times and each time I've enjoyed my time there. The holdup on writing this post is because I have so much to say but don't want to ramble on and on about this awesome city. So enough with my procrastination, here is my post about Nashville, Tennessee!

(sorry for the long intro- trying to gather my thoughts...)

Being the capital city in the state of Tennessee, Nashville has quite the reputation. From music halls to famous universities, this honky tonk of a town has a deep history that I would like to talk about. As I mentioned above, I have visited Nashville several times in my life. Usually I go along with a friend group to enjoy the nightlife on the strip... not gonna lie. But! That is not the only thing to do in this city.

For the music lovers:

If you are a lover of music there are some very important locations that should be on your list to visit. The Grand Ole Opry is the largest country stage venue out there where you can watch live shows! For more information, please click the link here. If you are a music and history buff then I recommend you check out the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This museum shines a light on Nashville's biggest stars from Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton. For nightlife lovers:

Now if you love to have a good time and want to enjoy live music, you have to check out the Honky Tonk Highway! Located on Broadway Street in the center of Nashville, this is the spot where you will have a blast. This street is a HUGE strip with bars, restaurants, and stores outlined on each side. There are several bars that are multiple stories high where you can dance the night away! I will say be prepared for the crowds. During the busier months like June and July, you will be shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of people. Also like many other popular destinations, the streets are something else. Don't be surprised if you see people bent over losing their dinner at 3am. It's a major party spot and the police are all over so just keep that in mind while out for the night.

For my foodies:

Don't worry about being hungry in this city. There are restaurants on every corner of every street. There's BBQ, breakfast, Italian, good ole country cooking, you name it. Unfortunately, I don't remember the places where we went during my many visits. I know... I am ashamed to say. All I do remember is that every place we went to eat I enjoyed it and I left full as can be. Next time I go, I will make a point to document along the way.

There are so many other things that I could list for Nashville but like I mentioned before, I would be here all day. I will say some other honorable mentions would be football, local parks, and shopping! If you are a sports fan, I would see if you could get tickets to a Tennessee Titans football game. If you are wanting some fresh air, research some of the lovely local parks downtown. The shopping, you won't struggle finding since stores are galore here!

If you are ever wondering if Nashville should be a city to visit, don't hesitate and just go for it! For more information on Nashville, TN please click the link here.
